In celebration of the summer solistice I got my first ripe cherry tomato yesterday!
Also here is the first large tomato that was beginning to have the slightest blush. It would have been ready in a few days but then I noticed it today in my neighbor's yard with a large chunk taken out of it.
How did it manage to find itself there. Hrmf. Job for the scooby kids no doubt!

ReplyDeleteI know! We have never had ripe tomatoes in June, and I was looking forward to it. Those dang squirrels always steal the low tomatoes. And so the battle begins...
DeleteOh what a bummer. We also feed the squirrels tomatoes. People think the number of tomatoes I plant is ridiculous but they do not understand how many go to the squirrels.
